Calibration Process

Four-Step Traceable Calibration Workflow

Every instrument processed through a documented, ISO/IEC 17025-compliant workflow with full uncertainty estimation and traceable certificate issue.

1

Receipt & Identification

Instrument logged into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Unique calibration ID assigned. Condition noted on receipt — any anomalies recorded before work begins.

2

Calibration

Performed against traceable reference standards in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment (23±2°C, 50±10% RH). Multiple measurement points recorded. Reference standards bear valid NPL traceability.

3

Uncertainty Estimation

Measurement uncertainty calculated per ISO/IEC 17025 and JCGM 100:2008 (GUM). All sources of uncertainty — repeatability, reference standard uncertainty, resolution, temperature effects — are combined and reported as expanded uncertainty (k=2, ~95% confidence).

4

Certificate Issue

Calibration certificate issued with complete traceability chain, as-found and as-left data, expanded measurement uncertainty, calibration date, and next recommended calibration due date.

Controlled environment: Our calibration laboratory is maintained at 23±2°C and 50±10% RH as required by dimensional and mechanical calibration standards. Temperature and humidity are continuously monitored and logged. Calibration is performed only within the specified environmental window.
